Deliverance came all wrapped up
Nice and neat
With a big red bow on top.

Love came all warm and cozy
Clear and bright
Like a blanket and a prism all at once.

Peace came like a tidal wave
Knocking over all strife and struggle
Replacing it with calm ripples.

If you believe this
You’re more delusional
Than even the clinically insane!

It doesn’t work like that
But how we wish it did!
The Knight in shining armor, the Prince, the POOF! And all is well!

No, but there is a way
A way of peace
A way of Light.

The way of Life
Is going deliberately, persistently, consciously
Through it all.

The path of Light
Is the journey through darkness
To our own center, which is Life’s core.

The Truth of Life
Is Choice
Awareness, of, and radiating from the Spirit within.

Choose from that Spirit
Not from the intellect, the fear, the reasoning
Let that Spirit guide these “children.”

And be your Self, a blessing, blessed
Be your Truth, a Light, enlightened
Be your fulfillment, a Love, beloved!

Be it right here, right now
For now is the hour of deliverance
And You are your Deliverer!

Not by your own power and might,
But by God who lives and reigns within you

The Spirit of Truth

The Spirit of Truth lives within me, as a Light that will not be put out. I can cover it with blankets, tar, bushels, but nothing, nothing will truly turn out the Light!

That is the miracle, the Good News, the Glad Tidings! That no matter what I allow myself to get wrapped up in, Spirit awaits me, just inside! Where all is quiet, where all is known, where Love conquers all, Spirit waits.

All I need to do is knock. But so often I waste my time standing at the door, wondering if Spirit will really answer! I don’t believe it, so I don’t knock. But this is futility at its finest!

Spirit, omnipresent, omnipotent, omniscient, always answers! I wonder what the answer will be, still standing on the doorstep, stamping my feet with cold, my heart full of dread. Because what if it’s not what I want? What if the answer is not what I think it should be?

I know deep down that it’s still the answer, and that whatever I think I want, is only from my limited perspective. But limitation, can only see limitation! So again I am in awe of the miracle, the Grace, the Love that somehow, some way, I can return to Spirit!

Even when my mind is in distress, even when fear dictates my words and actions, even when I see no way out, there is a part of me that knows!

There is a part of me that cares, loves, waits for me to ask, seek, knock, so it can throw open the gates of Consciousness to my weary mind!

And lead it back, restored, renewed, in tune with the voice of the Spirit of Truth that is sure and eternal.

The Gift of Self

I give You these hands
You’ve given to me
To pass on Your Spirit
And help them be free

I give You this heart
That beats loud and strong
To sing for Your glory
And teach them the song

I give You this soul
You made for my own
To guide and fulfill
The purpose You’ve shown

I give You the Love
You’ve planted in me
To flourish and grow
To shine so they see

I give You the praise
Creator of all
In faith I say yes
And answer Your call.

But all that I give
Is already Thine!
And now may I be
A branch of Your vine!

Let There be Light!

Nothing from nothing is nothing
Creations create in the space
Destruction transforms in the darkness
And Light is the Truth in its place.

Spirit is God breeding passion.
Faith in the Truth does the works.
Love creates wealth that is lasting.
And the soul is a child God birthed.

God is Intelligent thinking.
Hope is Self-knowing at night.
Order’s the Force that is linking.
And the soul is made whole by the Light.

Nothing from nothing is nothing
Creations create in the space
Destruction transforms in the darkness
And Light is the Truth in its place.

Four Steps to Defragment Your Life

Self-help books, motivational speakers, psychologists, psychiatrists, life coaches, even ministers and religious organizations all offer ways to defragment your life. I.e. to create and maintain a sense of integration, continuity and flow within your personal life. All these paths are valid in their own way. However, to truly defragment and create the awareness of yourself as a whole, complete being, there are some steps you can take, in your own mind and consciousness, with or without outer support.

1. Acknowledge the Presence.

Whether you call it God, Spirit, Cosmic Consciousness or something else, acknowledge that there is a universal, all-knowing Presence that exists everywhere.

2. Unite with the Presence.

Give yourself Truth statements (affirmations) of that Presence. Then, move on, because if that Presence is everywhere, then it is within you. You are a spiritual being. Everything else revolves around this Truth, including everything in your physical life. Recognize this and stay with this in meditation or other contemplation, until you feel it as a sense of Truth in your own way.

3. Realize the Presence.

By now you’ve united with the Presence in your mind. Perhaps intellectually and mentally, or maybe on a deeper level. It is at this deeper, subconscious level, that realization takes place. Here, your personal identity, including that life you want to defragment and integrate, falls away. Realization means the Presence IS your very life, and the only life you have, have had, and will ever have. In short, it is all that matters.

4. Flow with the Presence.

From this point on, any changes you want to make, can be made at the root. You’ve already established oneness with the Universal spiritual Presence within yourself. This is the key to any and all changes.

Why is oneness so important? It is not some pie-in-the-sky notion that cannot be reached by the average human being. It is a state of being, where as a spiritual creation, your Higher, God-like Inner Nature is allowed to flow forth through your mental, emotional and physical existence, as well as through all levels of your mind. You were born in oneness, and this is simply, but no less profoundly, a return home, to wholeness.

Let the Presence color your picture. Let it create the reality you experience. Let it give you thoughts, rather than trying to direct it. Know within yourself, beyond thought and words, that this Spirit knows what you need. For it would not have created you otherwise; you are not an accident, but a deliberate, conscious, integral Child of that Spirit!

Without this realization, change is not lasting. Change made purely on the physical level, for instance, may feel like a chore, create emptiness, etc. The same is true for mental and emotional changes. If they are not made in accord with the Presence within you, they cannot last.

Oneness is the reason this is so. You were created in God’s image, in a complete, whole, universal image. This is hard to grasp intellectually, which is why you’ve spent so much time reminding yourself of your spiritual roots.

However, when the human mind, with its limited personal ego, is given up to Higher Consciousness, it is reflected in our outer lives.

So, am I saying don’t resolve to change anything in your life? No. But I’m offering the idea, not a new idea either, to make changes on the level where it counts.

That level is the spiritual one, the foundation of all life on this or any planet. It’s different from religion, psychology, self-help and other personal development systems. Here, you connect in your own awareness, with the very Presence and Source that created you.

The other option, as we well know, is the personal ego, separated mind. We all know where that leads, when allowed to create things on its own: It is the reason we feel we need to make changes in the first place!

Acknowledge the Spirit within you. Make it your support, your reality. And turn to it for guidance in making changes, seeking outer support, and maintaining integration throughout your life.

The closer your relationship is with this ever-present inner Presence, the easier and less threatening change becomes. The more authentic it is. And the longer it lasts.

No personal ego can defragment like that!

Wisdom Quotes #5…….One Power, Free Will and responsibility!

“There is only one Creator, one God, and hence only one Power which streams through all that exists, animating and furthering it!
This pure, creative Power of God flows continually through the whole Creation, lies in it and is inseparable from it. It is to be found everywhere: in the air, in every drop of water, in the growing rock, the struggling plant, the animal, and naturally also in man. There is nothing where it would not be……………
Evil is brought about with the same pure Divine Power as good!
And it is the kind of use made of this uniform Power of God, left to the free choice of each one, that bears within it the responsibility which no one can escape. Therefore I call out to every seeker:
“Keep the hearth of your thoughts pure, by so doing you will bring peace…

The Cost of Happiness

Pay the bills, feel incomplete,
And buy more things in your defeat…

Overdraw and feel depressed.
Then look outside for confidence…

Get more money if you can,
And somehow do it all again…

For that’s the way of this old world,
Where happiness is bought and sold…

But Happiness is deep inside
Like nothing you can get or buy…

We know this, yet we all still try,
‘Cause maybe it could work this time!

But when it fails, remember this:
You hold the key to Happiness!

It’s not out there as a reward,
But born in you, a child of God!

The Journey

A reminder to all of us, to look within during any moment. Tools, other people, and knowledge outside of ourselves all have their place. However, to know that place and use it effectively, we need guidance from within ourselves.

In planning for 2014, remember what is most important. Above any relationship, accomplishment, circumstance, knowledge, acquisition or religion, if being aware of your own divinity and living spiritually is important to you, remember to put that first.

But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be added to you.
–Matthew 6:33 (WEB)

We can have material things without spiritual connection. But we cannot have anything lasting without a lasting spiritual connection…

The Journey – Lyrics

Instruments: Lady – tenor Flea ukulele, frog rasp

1. I’ve climbed mountains; slid back down
Seen the summit and the town
I’ve climbed mountains cold and high
But all I needed was deep inside

2. I’ve crossed deserts; been so scared
Fighting wind yet needing air
I’ve crossed deserts lonely, dry
But all I needed was deep inside

3. I’ve seen valleys; cursed the rain
Loved their beauty after pain
I’ve seen valleys; taken pride
But all I needed was deep inside.

Oh how I prayed and ran the race
But didn’t seek the quiet place
So when I did I realized
That all I needed was deep inside.
All I needed was deep inside.
All I needed was deep inside.

Happy New Month…….welcome to January, the Doorway!

A fitting, uplifting reminder in the dark that is Winter in our Northern hemisphere!

As we rest and rejuvenate, may we look within to the center and core of our being. This is where Truth already lies. May we rediscover and know that Truth, to manifest it more fully in the world!

We are not alone. Even in the darkness, Truth remains. When we don’t see the sun, it is still shining, just not where we can see it. May we know that the Light of Truth is still at work, even when we don’t take notice.

Blessings, always!

Doorways---Doorway Photo Credit: You hardly get a “happy new month” wish in January! Everyone is tuned to the big picture: the New Year celebrations! January is even considered an anti-climax to all the excitement and frenzy of the last two months! However, like other months, January has its significance and symbolism! For one, the month is named after Janus, the double-faced Roman god of beginnings and endings! Maybe, this has to do with the striking paradoxes of the month. On one hand, January is a period of reflection, contemplation and serene soul searching. A time to review the last year/s and plan for the future! On the other hand, January marks a new beginning which imbues it with the bounce and impetus for renewed hope, high expectations and youthful vigor, even for aching limbs and minds! Those born in January have the alluring Carnation as their birth flower!…
