Pour out Your Presence

In memory of Nancy Abercrombie, who poured out God’s Presence through music for many wonderful years.

Instruments:
Eventide – Mahogany Concert Ukulele
Soprano Recorder

1. My body is a vessel
Sailing on the waves.
It has lost direction,
Been tossed and blown astray.
And though the ship is sinking,
I can see the stars.
They light the sea of changes
And shine within my heart.
So
Refrain:

2. My body is a cup
Waiting to be filled.
It has known despair
And felt the empty chill.
And though the cup is broken,
It reflects the Light.
The wayshower of freedom,
The Christ in me is bright.
So
Refrain:

3. My body is a Temple
Where Your Truth abides.
And may my doors be open
To worship You inside.
‘Cause You are my foundation,
Building me on earth
Even as in Heaven
Through life and death and birth.
So
Refrain:

Refrain:
Fill me with Your Love!
Touch my soul of clay!
Bless my heart and mind,
So I may pour out Your Presence each day!

Remembering Nancy Abercrombie

A spiritually aware, bright, and talented musician, Nancy Abercrombie recently passed on from this world. She contributed positive, inspirational music to the world and to New Thought Metaphysics in particular. She has been, and will continue to be an inspiration to me personally. Though I never met Nancy in person, I’ve felt her soul through the music she wrote and recorded over her many years of study and service in the Metaphysical field. She will be missed, but lives on in the Love, Spirit and Soul of her music and every life touched by the Presence of God within her.

May God’s blessings and peace be upon all those mourning her passing, and may the Light of the eternal flame burn brightly on this, and every soul’s continuing journey!

Father of the Blues

Happy Father’s Day to all those celebrating in the United States! Even if you’re not celebrating physical fatherhood, you might bring your awareness to the Father within!

Instrument: Tempo – Seagull Excursion Folk Acoustic Guitar

1. God is the Father of everything that moves
And everything upon the earth we wonder what’s the use.
God is the Father of the crevaces and grooves.
And God is the Father of the blues!

2. God is the Father of Christ, the Light of Truth.
He sent the Son to show the Love that shines in me and you.
He said we’re equal, every one, His Life in us is proof.
And God is the Father of the blues!

And reds
And oranges
And yellows and greens
And purples
And every color you have ever seen.
God is the Father of everything.
And God is the Father in you.
God is the Father of the blues!

3. God is the Father of every dad that moves
And lives within them even when they wonder what’s the use.
God is the Father through detours, bumps and bruises.
And God is the Father of the blues!

And reds
And oranges
And yellows and greens
And purples
And every color you have never seen.
God is the Father of everything.
And God is the Father in you.
God is the Father of the blues.

And reds
And oranges
And yellows and greens
And purples
And every color you have or haven’t seen.
God is the Father of everything.
And God is the Father in you.
So turn to the Father of the blues!

Look What God Has Done!

Instrument: Eventide – Mahogany Concert Ukulele

1. Look what God has done!
Inspired and made you one
With all that is above
And all that is below,
With earth and moon and sun,
And tides that ebb and flow!
Look what God has done!

2. Look what God can see!
All of eternity!
The puzzle that is whole,
The image real and true,
The path of every soul,
The beauty that is you!
Look what God can see!

3. Look what God has blessed!
The journey to his rest!
The road that’s hard to take,
The inner Light that shines,
The step that is in faith,
The Love that frees the mind!
Look what God has blessed!

4. Look what God has done!
Created you as one!
With Jesus Christ who came,
And every noble fruit,
The Kingdom’s yours to claim,
‘Cause God-life is your root!
Look what God has done!

Look what God has blessed!
Look what God can see!
Look what God has done
Here in you and me!

Code Word

***The following may be considered adult content.***

A bit of a tongue-in-cheek piece, not for the faint of heart! And no offense meant to Tantra practitioners – I simply acknowledge that mainstream society has latched onto the sexual aspect and left out the essence of Truth.

Spirituality is a code word,
A junk drawer,
A catch-all for any practice
That doesn’t fit into accepted religion.

I recognize this,
I acknowledge what’s going on,
But I don’t have to like it
Or subscribe to it.

“I’m spiritual” =
I don’t go to church,
But maybe I do or don’t use ritual, or Magick,
Even if I don’t call it religious.

“I want a spiritual partner” =
Hey, let’s have some free love and Tantra!
It’s “in” and it’s fun!
Never mind that Tantra is a religion!

Spirituality is a code word
For some,
Even for many,
But not for me!

Spirituality,
The Spirit
And living within and through It,
Is Life itself!

Your decoder ring
Will arrive tomorrow.
But don’t wait up,
Because you won’t be needing it!

Karma Is as Karma Does

Instrument: Eventide – Mahogany Concert Ukulele

1. At a party I will sit
And listen to the din.
With small talk of the status quo,
I’m not one to jump in.
And all this talk of differences
And who did what to whom,
I get the feeling I should go
And clean my mental room.
Refrain:

2. I bless the people chatting now
Who know not what they say.
They’re spreading negativity
When there’s a brighter way.
And all this talk of differences
And who did what to whom,
If I agree in thought or word,
I build the sense of gloom.
Refrain:

3. And even during quiet time
Or going off to sleep,
The thoughts and words we dwell upon
Are what the night will keep.
And that self-talk of differences
And who did what to whom
Is moving on to paint the dawn.
So let us change our tune.
Refrain:

Karma is as karma does;
In God we are aware.

Refrain:
‘Cause every thought is precious,
And every word gives life.
And how we choose to spend them
Brings harmony or strife.
May we be mindful of our thoughts
And speak our words with care.
‘Cause karma is as karma does;
O let us be aware.
