Bursting balls of light
Packaged in spirals and tubes
Set them off to demonstrate
The wonder of God and His elements

So much light streaming down
That it cannot be contained
The visual is not enough
There must also be abundant sound

The smell of sulfur
Knowing not to touch
They seem so close
You could almost taste them

The questions, “Will it end?”
And, “What if it ends?”
A spectacle for every sense
And awe-inspiring, even when feared

Fireworks sing God’s power
And beauty

The Is
And Ever Shall Be
Of all things

I admit that fireworks are still not my favorite creation! That’s why this is a quiet poem with no sound or visuals. 😀
