See You in Court #SixSentenceStories

“The courtroom gallery is packed
To bursting!” So they say.
It feels just like a circus
Throughout the trial day.
I promise now to tell the truth.
To you it might sound fruity.
I really want to sit and serve
A term of jury duty!

Do let me know in the comments if you’ve ever had jury duty and, dare I say, whether you liked it(?) πŸ™‚

  1. Great six! I served on a jury in a criminal case a few years ago and found the whole process fascinating, especially the discussions the take place in the jury room. Had the prosecuting attorney done a better job I believe he might have won the case.

  2. Good Six (I’m with Frank on the ‘non-verbal’ character of the rhythm and rhyme)
Enjoy watch a courtroom scene, the specialized language especially.
Did a grand jury term once. Didn’t go well. As the evidence was presented (for us to decide to prosecute or not) I found myself thinking, “Damn! But for the grace of ….” lol
The tenor of the jury room was way too rogerian* for my tastes. Fortunately pitchforks and torches were not available.

    * rogerian is a adjective of roger which, in turn, is one of three personality types of the Wakefield Doctrine
